Moonlight Ballet Mission: 

Our mission is to present high calibre ballet performances to the Greater Toronto public. Moonlight Ballet inspires and impacts its dancers through its focus on a non-hierarchical creative process and a well-being-centred approach. Through its commitment to frequent performance, Moonlight Ballet serves those who want to connect through art.

 

With a focus on new creations in the classical and neo-classical ballet vocabulary, we illuminate new stories, characters, and imaginary realms

 

Role of Board of Directors:

As a vital part of our organization's leadership, the Board of Directors plays a crucial role in guiding our mission, ensuring financial stability, and fostering growth and innovation. We are seeking individuals with diverse backgrounds, expertise, and a shared enthusiasm for the arts to help us continue our commitment to excellence and community engagement.

 

Key Responsibilities of Board Members:

• Provide strategic guidance and governance to advance the organization's mission and objectives.

• Collaborate with fellow board members, staff, and stakeholders to support fundraising efforts, financial sustainability, and operational excellence.

• Advocate for the organization within the community, fostering relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners.

• Participate actively in board meetings, committee work, and special initiatives to further the organization's impact and reach.

We are particularly interested in individuals who bring expertise in the following areas:

• Nonprofit governance and leadership

• Financial management and fundraising

• Legal and compliance knowledge

• Marketing, public relations, and community engagement

• Arts administration or experience in the ballet or performing arts sector
